Akshay Kumar has worked with both Kareena Kapoor and Katrina Kaif in several films, but can't decide who is better. The action king says both are "wonderful actresses" and have "sexy bodies".

"Both Kareena and Katrina are really good but who is the better among them depends on their roles in the films. Otherwise, both of them have sexy bodies and are absolutely wonderful actresses," said Akshay when asked to choose his favourite of the two.

Akshay has done four films with Katrina including Namastey London and Singh Is Kinng, while he has worked with Kareena in five that include hits Ajnabee and Aitraaz. The two are set to scorch the screen once again in their upcoming action-cum-romantic drama Kambakkht Ishq, which releases on Friday.

"In Kambakkht Ishq, Kareena has performed very well. Her character required to answer back at me and be strong and she has portrayed it in a powerful, yet lovable way. On the other hand, even Katrina was really good in Namastey London. So it's not really about my choice... it all depends on their roles," the actor told IANS over phone from Puerto Rico in the US, where he is on a holiday.

Akshay, who has spent more than 18 years in the Hindi film industry, says acting with a new league of actresses is a learning experience.

"As a senior actor, I don't always have to give out tips to the younger ones. In fact, I feel I can learn a lot from the younger generation because they have new ways of acting and a different approach to work.

"I cannot particularly point out what I have learnt from them (Kareena and Katrina) yet, but yes, working with them was a learning experience," said the actor, who has also teamed up with Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone and Ayesha Takia.

Akshay plays a Hollywood stuntman in Kambakkht Ishq, which also boasts of big Hollywood names like Sylvester Stallone, Denise Richards and Brandon Routh - working with whom has been a "dream come true" for the actor.

In the film, Akshay has done what he is best at - action and daredevilry - something that had taken a backseat in his career for a while.

"I decided to stop doing stunts till Aarav (son) turns at least six. Now I'm back at it again. In 'Blue', which is an action thriller, I have done some death-defying stunts like the one where I had to swim 150 feet underwater with 30-40 sharks. But I will talk about it sometime later," he said.

At the moment, the 41-year-old actor is pinning hopes on Sajid Nadiadwala's Kambakkht Ishq to bail him out after his much-publicised films Chandni Chowk To China and 8X10 Tasveer fizzled out at the box office.

"I'm expecting great response for this film. Though I had worked very hard in Chandni Chowk... , the response didn't turn out to be as expected. Some people and critics didn't like it and 8X10 Tasveer was more like an art film, which has a niche market in India. Kambakkht Ishq is a complete entertainer and I hope the audience appreciates it," he said.

Apart from Kambakkht Ishq, Akshay will also be seen in Blue, De Dana Dan and Action Replay.

Michael Jackson’s ex-wife Debbie Rowe has revealed that the late King of Pop is not the actual father of Prince and Paris. Rowe made headlines 13 years ago when Jackson had announced that she would be the mother of his first child, Prince, now 12.

However, Rowe has now revealed that Jackson is not the real father, and that she has conceived both kids through artificial insemination, with sperms from an anonymous donor.

“It``s just like I impregnate my mares for breeding. It was very technical,” News.com.au quoted her as having told the News of the World.

"Just like I stick the sperm up my horse, this is what they did to me. I was his thoroughbred," she added.

However, it was due to complications during the birth of Paris that left Rowe unable to bear any more children.

She said that it was at that stage that Jackson ended their relationship, and paid her nine million dollars over nine years in exchange for custody of the children.

"I got paid for it, and I`ve moved on. I know I will never see my children again," she added.

Rowe and Jacko got married at the Sheraton Hotel in Sydney in November 1996 while the former was pregnant with Prince, but she said the two of them never had sex during their time together.

Bollywood Mantra - Katrina Kaif could not hold her tears on watching her performance in ‘New York’ at a special screening at Yashraj studio. Her performance has impressed her so much that she could not believe that she has actually done this. To Kat, this is the finest performance of her till date.

"It was embarrassing. This has never happened to me before. I was deeply moved by the film. And I couldn't believe what my director Kabir Khan had achieved in my performance. I kept staring at myself. 'That's me!' I exclaimed at the end of the film."

Katrina connects herself with the character she has portrayed in ‘New York’, "So far all my characters have been pretty alien to me. Even the London girl in Chandigarh in Namastey London was not at all like me. But the girl in New York connects deeply with me. Or do I connect with her? It's symbiotic, I think," she says.

Remembering that evening, Katrina says, "It was a very private screening. Only members of the cast, our director, his wife and the producer were there. I've never been so impressed by any of my films. So far they've all been in the orbit of escapist entertainment. New York is my first realistic film. I'm proud of all my films. But this is new chapter in my career."

She followed Dil with another line of hits, including Saajan (1991), Beta (1992), Khalnayak (1993), Hum Aapke Hain Kaun! (1994), and Raja (1995). Hum Aapke Hain Kaun! became one of the biggest grossers ever in the history of Hindi cinema. It went on to collect over Rs. 650 million in India and over Rs. 150 million overseas, and won Dixit her third Filmfare Best Actress Award. In that same year, Dixit was also nominated in the same category for her performance in Anjaam, which won her critical acclaim.

After an unsuccessful year in 1996, Dixit appeared as Pooja in Yash Chopra's Dil To Pagal Hai (1997). The film was a major national success, both critically and commercially, and Dixit won her fourth Filmfare Best Actress Award. In that same year, Dixit starred in Prakash Jha's critically acclaimed Mrityudand. The following year a film named after her, Main Madhuri Dixit Banna Chahti Hoon!, was released[6] in which a woman (played by Antara Mali) aspires to become the new Madhuri Dixit by trying her luck in the Bollywood industry.

On February 25, 2006 she performed on stage for the first time in six years at the Filmfare Awards to music from her last movie Devdas. Her performance was choreographed by Saroj Khan.

Madhuri Dixit has been the muse for the famous Indian painter M.F. Husain who considers her the epitome of womanhood. Hence he made a film named Gaja Gamini (2000) in which Madhuri acted. The film was intended as a tribute to Ms. Dixit herself. In this film she can be seen portraying various forms and manifestations of womanhood including the muse of Kalidasa, Leonardo's Mona Lisa, a rebel, and an incarnation of musical euphoria etc.

On December 7, 2006, Dixit returned to Mumbai along with her husband and sons to start filming for Aaja Nachle (2007). The film released in November 2007 and despite the critics panning it, Dixit's performance was well received, with the New York Times commenting about her that "she's still got it".

Over possessive boyfriends can be dangerous and Katrina Kaif is realising it every moment of her life. Salman Khan has turned down Katrina's invitation to watch her latest movie New York. Katrina whose performance in the Kabir Khan directed movie has been appreciated both by the critics as well as the audience desperately tried to convince him to come for the premier but all her efforts went in vain.

It was reported that Salman was upset about his girlfriend’s physical proximity with co-star John Abraham. Katrina shot a sizzling bedroom scene with John in the song 'Mere Sang'. Salman didn't want Katrina to do such a bold scene with anybody and certainly not with his enemy John Abraham. The song which saw Katrina's boldest ever performance has become a major bone of contention in their regular on and off relationship.

Salman has made a policy of ignoring all of Katrina's movies even though she always invites him for the premier. Although Salman attends all the other premiers if he is in town he will say a big NO to Katrina's movies. Katrina on the other hand makes it a point to watch all his movies and even attend premiers with him. He even doesn't allow her to wear revealing clothes in his presence and many a times has forced her to change her clothes.

Yuvraj Singh`s Bollywood fixation refuses to end. After a series of link-ups with several leading ladies from Kim Sharma to Deepika Padukone and more recently Preity Zinta, the latest to catch swashbuckling southpaw fantasy is Riya Sen.

Yuvraj was seen with his new arm candy from tinsel town in a private party in Mumbai before Yuvraj left for the Asia Cup in Pakistan. And after some cozy moments, they reportedly left the gathering and quietly slipped into Yuvraj`s car.

Yuvi was also seen with Riya`s elder sister Raima at a fashion show, earlier this year. But while that may have been a platonic relationship, coming close on the heels of his rumored break-up with Deepika Padukone, his well known liaison with Kim Sharma was never in doubt.

A prince on the field, he surely knows how to bowl maidens over off it as well.

Singer Adnan Sami said his father, a prominent Pakistani diplomat, passed away in a hospital here on 22 June and as per his last wish the body will be flown to Islamabad to be buried near his home. Arshad Sami Khan died from cancer of the pancreas and the funeral is to be held Friday, the singer said.

Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani are expected to attend Arshad Sami’s state funeral in Islamabad. “He will be getting a full state funeral with a 21-gun salute. And yes, the prime minister and president are coming.

My mom, son and brother are flying into Karachi from Mumbai Thursday and from there we take a connecting flight to Islamabad where the burial will take place on Friday after the Jumma prayers,” Adnan told IANS before flying off to Pakistan.

Adnan, who is of Pakistani descent but was born and brought up in Britain, has been living in Mumbai for quite some time. His father was close to many of Pakistan’s political elite.

Early this year when Adnan’s father was down here from Houston for a holiday, he had a relapse of the cancer and was taken to Criticare for treatment. Later he was shifted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital.

“You know he died on my brother’s birthday. We did our best for him. My only regret is that we could spend only 15 minutes of his last moments when we could’ve been with him much longer if my dear wife (estranged wife Sabah) hadn’t chosen that morning to visit our home. But I guess god is watching,” said Adnan.

After his father’s death, Adnan immediately contacted the Indian government to allow him to fly to Islamabad.
“The Indian authorities have been exceptionally co-operative and a wonderful support to me and and my family in this hour of distress. I can’t thank them enough,” said Adnan emotionally.

Everyone knows how much Salman Khan loves his pets. After Myson's death earlier this year, Salman Khan's other pet dog Myjaan took seriously ill last Sunday. Myjaan's condition became so bad that Salman's vet advised him to take her to the SPCA Hospital in Parel. Salman drove down with Myjaan to the hospital as late as 10.30 pm. But the dog's condition was so critical that the hospital doctors advised him to admit his pet immediately.

Impressed and appalled

Says a source, "Salman was impressed with the staff and their work but was disappointed at the appalling conditions of the dog ward. The facilities were not very clean as well. Salman requested for a separate room for Myjaan and asked his keeper to stay back to look after her."

But Salman didn't leave the matter there. Adds the source, "He promised Lt Col (Dr) J C Khanna, the SPCA secretary who took him around the hospital that he would help repair and renovate the dog ward. The repair of a ward costs crores but that didn't faze Salman."

In recovery

Lt Col (Dr) J C Khanna confirms, "It's true that Salman Khan's dog Myjaan was admitted by the actor on Sunday night. He adores Myjaan and was extremely anxious about her. The next day, when he returned in the morning, he went through the wards. This was his first visit to SPCA and he was quite happy with the facilities. Myjaan is still undergoing treatment. When she was admitted, she was seriously sick and was given a separate room. Initially, Salman visited for the first couple of days but now his caretakers are here. His pet was very critical when brought in. Her blood count was low earlier but she's recovering now."

Promise kept?

Did Salman promise to renovate the dog ward? Says Khanna, "Salman might have casually mentioned about doing something for the dog ward but then lots of people say they will do this and that and finally are not able to for various reasons, so I can't really say what he promised. Though we have excellent equipment, funds are always required, as the wards need to be repaired. Like the Mumbai Gaurakshak Trust has renovated the cattle ward while somebody else has repaired the cat ward. Now the dog wards need to be repaired."

As far as giving a special room for Salman's pet dog is concerned, Dr Khanna says, "One of the rooms which is the cardiac center is lying vacant as the ECG is not working. So, if someone wants a special room for his/her pet or to stay the whole day and night, we give that room

I remember the frisson of excitement running through the MiD DAY newsroom, and I guess through all newsrooms, when it was announced that Michael Jackson would perform in Mumbai in October 1996.

For at least a fortnight before the event, reporters and photographers were scurrying around the city to find news related to Jackson.

We even visited the concert venue Andheri Sports Complex numerous times for pre-arrival pictures.
Hordes of press photographers had crowded Sahar international airport when Jackson was scheduled to arrive.

Camera lenses jostled against each other and tempers frayed as the flight was delayed. We had to wait for 6-7 hours.

Finally, news spread that Jackson had arrived. We rushed back from our vada pav, sandwich and cigarette breaks to take pictures.

Actress Sonali Bendre, looking like a real Mumbaichi mulgi, had arrived at the airport to welcome Jackson. Raj Thackeray was also present.

Lucky me

When Jackson came out of the airport, I remember an explosion of flashes. But I soon realised that MJ had some kind of a reflective band on his arm, which made it difficult for us to use the flash.

Just before he arrived, I remember thinking how fortunate I was to be a photographer.

For only a select few had got a glimpse of MJ. Yet, when I finally saw him, I did not think he was an overpowering personality; all I felt was an intense pressure to get his photograph, amongst that group of people.

MJ came out and soon got into a vehicle. He was going to the Oberoi Hotel where he was scheduled to stay. The streets were lined with slum dwellers and urchins who could not comprehend who had arrived.

One slum dweller told me, "Koi bada Amreecan hai." Then, MJ got out of his vehicle much to the displeasure of his security and started dancing with the slum dwellers for a couple of minutes.

As far as Govinda is concerned, all bets are off. The out-there actor is capable of anything. And this latest khabar from the sets of Abbas Mustan's maiden production, Life Partner, didn't surprise us at all. Really!

The guestIt all began one day on the sets in Mumbai. The actor had a surprise guest that day. What's the big deal? This guest 'spoke' only to Chi Chi and was 'seen' only by him and his brother Kirti (who probably does it to humour his star brother).Says a source present on the sets, "As usual, Govinda came in pretty late. During one of the breaks, the actor was chatting with a group, when suddenly his brother's car came and halted in front of him. Kirti Kumar stepped out, opened the door to the backseat and waited for someone (there was no one there) to step out. After this imaginary person stepped out, he closed the door. Then he held the hand of this person and started walking towards the set. Except, we couldn't see who it was."

Adds the source, "But Chi Chi did. He said, 'Mummy aa gayi,' then got right up and walked towards his brother (and mother) and bent down and touched her feet. He asked his brother to leave and pulled up a chair for his mom." The actors on the set, and the unit kept a straight face, as he chatted to the empty chair next to him.
It was later learnt that Chi Chi was actually talking to his deceased mother (she passed away a couple of years ago). He kept talking for two hours, then summoned his brother and told him to "take mom home"!

Govinda has always been known to be close to his mom and their bond seems to have gone on beyond the grave as well. He even tells people who visit him at home about his mom being there in the same room.

Akshay, Kareena Can't stop kissing!

Thursday, June 25, 2009 |

Looks like Mallika Sherawat finally has competition when it comes to the number of kisses. While Mallika had a record 17 kisses in her debut film, grapevine has it that Kareena Kapoor has done 10 kisses in Kambakkht Ishq.

Now that's some daring do on part of Kapoor Khandaan's beautiful daughter.

Before its release on July 3, the trial runs of the movie have generated a crazy buzz around these 10 steamy lip locks between Akshay and Kareena.

Apparently the producers are keeping it under the wraps for a final surprise for the audience once the movies releases.

Though we wonder if it has something to do with Kareena's nawabi boyfriend, after all if Saif is to be believed, Bebo is already Begum. And for the royal begum to indulge in such profanities with the international khiladi may not go down well with the royal family.

One man who seems to be in a win win situation here is Akshay Kumar for sure! Recently only, he was hailed as Bollywood s best kisser by Denise Richards and now we hear of these kisses with Kareena. Well now that s some mouthful of excitement for Akshay!

Blame it on Kambakkht Ishq!

One of the most explosive lovemaking scenes ever shot for a Hindi film, is now available at the click of a mouse button! Shahrukh Khan and Deepa Sahi’s steamy lovemaking scene from “Maya Memsaab” is all over the Internet.film released in 1993, the explicit scenes were censored keeping in mind the viewer’s sensibilities. All that was left were a few scenes which suggested that Lalit (SRK) and Maya (Deepa) had slept together.

But the recently released scenes on the Internet have left nothing to one’s imagination!

A source from the industry informed, “The entire sex sequence, which was shot between Shahrukh Khan and Deepa Sahi in ‘Maya Memsaab’, is on the Internet. It happened on Friday. It is really inexplicable, how the previously censored scene has come out fully uncensored on the Internet”.acted, Deepa Sahi said that she was not aware that the intimate scenes between her and Shahrukh Khan, that were canned by her director husband Ketan Mehta for ‘Maya Memsaab’, had leaked out.

Deepa said, “I am not aware of this. Nobody has told me about this as yet. I think, somebody must have download it from the DVD and put it on the Internet”.

However, Deepa Sahi also added that no part of the scene had been censored before the release.

She said, “The Censor Board had objected to the scene, but then, the Revised Committee reviewed it again and we got it to the theatres without any cuts”. But when she was told that media had seen the film when it released and now the video on the Internet is far more explicit, Deepa said, “I do not know. I am not going to go on the Internet to check it out”!ta agreed with Deepa’s point and said that it is not possible that the Internet scene has more to it than the movie. According to him, there were no censor cuts and no scenes were added later.

So, how did the sex scene come out after 15 years?

According to Deepa, she is not aware how the sex scene in question went in to circulation. However, she also said that she was not surprised that this had happened. Deepa said, “If the scene is there in the film, it is likely that such a thing will come on the Internet. I do not know why there is so much brouhaha about this. I think India was far more liberal in thinking, 50 years ago. We seem to have become more regressive over the years. I remember the Revised Committee saying that the scene was very poetic”.

When media asked Deepa if Shahrukh had called her, Deepa said, “No. Shahrukh Khan has not called me”. Despite sending a text message to Shahrukh Khan, he remained unavailable for comment.

Watch the Shahruk and Deepa’s lovemaking video. But remember, you have to be 18 and older to view it, due to the adult nature of the content.

Ishq producer Sajid Nadiadwala admits, “I never thought ‘Kambakht Ishq‘ would turn out to be a massive film. They come up with innovative ideas and their approach to work is unadulterated”.Ishq stars three Hollywood celebrities like Sylvester Stallone, Brandon Routh and Denise Richards. The prolific producer admits, “Actually, their names cropped up while scripting the film. Little did we realize then that they would eventually star in the film”. Was it tough getting them on board?
